I would like to be able to memorise transactions like invoices, receipts, payments, bills, journals etc... so they self-create on a scheduled basis.
We are pleased to announce the completion of our initial phase of recurring transactions which include INVOICES, RECEIPTS & PAYMENTS. Full help documentation can be found here:
https://help.reckon.com/reckon-one/day-to-day/recurring-transactions
Based on user feedback we are going to complete the final recurring types as separate projects. These are JOURNALS & BILLS. To help us prioritise these please vote at...
JOURNALS: https://ideas.reckon.com/ideas/RKN1-I-656
BILLIS: https://ideas.reckon.com/ideas/RKN1-I-574
Yes, I have monthly recurring money out, money in and journal transactions. Bills for internet and a range of recurring monthly mortgage loans and repayments. To press a button for recurring (memorised) payments is so important.
Can we also have recurring transfers please
UPDATE: Released in the UK.
UPDATE: We have released Recurring Payments and Receipts for AU and NZ customers. Will will mark this idea as implemented once we release in the UK next week, however we wanted to let non-UK customers know you can get access right now. For more information please see https://help.reckon.com/reckon-one/day-to-day/recurring-transactions
UPDATE: Recurring Payments (Money In) and Recurring Receipts (Money Out) are in final testing - we are hopeful of an early September release.
Hey that's great it will make my entries so much easier ... Well done
UPDATE: Recurring Payments (Money In) and Recurring Receipts (Money Out) development will commence next week. We also added the ability to send recurring invoices automatically via email last month. Check it out if you missed the update notice.
UPDATE:
Recurring invoices has been released. We will be adding auto-emailing of recurring invoices next month before moving on to PAYMENTS and JOURNALS. Kind regards, Jason.
UPDATE:
Testing has uncovered a couple of minor issues which we are working through this week. Apologies for the delay.
UPDATE:
We are approx 2 weeks away from finishing Recurring Invoices. Then approx another 2-3 weeks of testing. Once released and everything is OK, we'll add new forms every 3 weeks or so such as payments, receipts and journals.
In the meantime, users can just create a copy of the last identical transaction & save with the new details. I know it's not self-created & scheduled, but it reduces the data entry until the recurring txn function is up and running.
Hi Peter and Andrew. We have slipped a little behind on our estimations for various factors. It's a well-known adage in the software industry that you never give a release date, as things often will and do change on a day to day basis. In the Reckon development team we don't think that is good enough from our industry, and believe customers deserve more insight into how development is tracking. That said, additional demands do arise daily such as critical bug fixes, whilst other projects take longer than expected to complete which of course pushes back all due dates. Please be assured we are working hard to release this functionality ASAP.
Have to say really disappointed as i only stayed with Reckon based on having fully functional recurring transactions by years end. I would like a firm answer to when it will be delivered.
Hi, after years of "coming soon" and then "by the end of the year" and now in the "first update for the new year." and now only recurring invoices, and the rest that everyone needs introduced "progressively after that. so when will the next update be, and when will full functionality of recurring transactions in all transaction types be available?
Hi Andrew. We have completed the majority of backend tasks and will get onto the frontend (user interface) next week. We will probably miss years end due to the short month, but it will be in our first new year release. We pivoted slightly and will deliver document attachments to payments and bills by years end. Apologies for the slight delay. The team are working hard to deliver a great experience for this feature.
Are we still on track for years end??
Hi everyone and thanks for your feedback. Work has commenced and we'll likely have recurring invoices by years end. We will then add new forms progressively after that (like journals, payments etc..) until we have all applicable transactions covered.
I agree with all the comments below. Have been using MYOB for years and pretty much every transaction we do is a recurring transaction as it cuts back my processing time enormously, especially as we do large volumes of transactions. Am feeling really stifled and would welcome feedback on when this feature is definitely going to be implemented.
I have just started using Reckon One and am shocked Recurring Transactions is not already a feature.
Most people would have multiple recurring expenses each month ie. the Reckon One subscription.
Regards
Frazer
Hi Tracey, still on track to be completed by years end. All current (preceding) work is running to schedule.
