Document number inserted into auto email for Purchase orders, Estimates and Invoices Merged

I would like to see added to the next revision/version of Reckon Accounts;

* Email subject line of Purchase orders to have the Purchase order number included in the same way it is inserted in the Purchase order PDF attachments. Even if it means the email subject is simply copied from the PDF attachment.

* Email subject line of Invoice to have the Invoice number included in the same way it is inserted in the Invoice PDF attachments. Even if it means the email subject is simply copied from the PDF attachment.

* Email subject line of Estimate to have the Estimate number included in the same way it is inserted in the Invoice PDF attachments. Even if it means the email subject is simply copied from the PDF attachment.

    UPDATE:
    Our tests are looking really good. We are trying to get this into the June release, however with the government payroll changes around COVID-19 please allow some flexibility regarding release versions. Here is a screenshot of the results. We were able to add HTML into the body of the email (so we don't use text format emails anymore, hence allowing a sender to use their full graphical signature) and also add custom fields to the email body AND subject line.

    Hi Peter. Our devs have just started a proof of concept on this. It does unfortunately require a re-write of the code so isn't a trivial task. That said, we are giving it a crack. I will update when this work is complete (late May we should know either way) .

    This feature is now more than ever needed with both custoemrs and suppliers asking for the document number to be inserted into the subject line for better clarity on referencing back, if a client or supplier currently replies, there is no way to track what the form went was without a fair bit of tedious work - any update on this?

    Thanks Norman. We have reviewed several times and tested several methods however it requires a full re-write. I believe the better option is the solution we are work-shopping as it will provide a greater overall end user / customer experience and cover all of our forms.

    Thanks for the feed back Jason. I look forward to this development

    I would not have considered it difficult, associating the record number to a "mail merge field" in the email Subject line.

    Unfortunately this cannot be achieved with our current code base. We are however considering an alternate that will include this functionality.
