Track the number of days worked for Annual QLeave Report

As an employer of casual employees in the Queensland Construction Industries I am required to report annually the amount of days or part days my employees work. This can't be calculated using the hours worked, eg 16 hours for a week could be 2 days x 8 hours  or 4 days x  4 hours.

The ability to do this already exists however you do need to take advantage of Reckon Accounts reporting and timesheets to report the hrs / day your employees work. ** Timesheets can be used to create pay cheques so is a useful tool if you aren't using them already.

    1. Create the employees timehsheet

    2. Run the Time by Name report from the Jobs, Time & Mileage report menu.

    3. Open the Time by Name Detail report by 'double-clicking' on the hours.

    4. Export... to Excel, remove any duplicate dates, and highlight the remaining cells to get you the correct number. Pivot reports are also useful for this process depending on the excel skills of the user.

    Note:

The time by name report can be filtered by date and by employee, or you can export all of your employees who worked that year. Indeed you can filter by payroll item to remove salary employees for example.

This is an awfully longwinded and complicated work around for something that should be able to be done simply within the software. Surely Reckon can create a report that will give the required information for portable LSL reporting? This is an ongoing requirement for most businesses these days and Reckon should be ensuring the software keeps up with the needs of its customers.
