I have had a Reckon One Account for 3 years. During this time I've been able create & send invoices through the Reckon App on my mobile phone until last week when I received an error message. Called Tech Support who advised that the App I've been using is no longer supported and a 'new' Reckon invoicing App is still under development and not due out for at least 6 months..!?
The primary reason I switched from Xero to Reckon was that it saved me ~$300 per year in fee's via it's 'pay for what you need/use' modular subscription service.
I'm a Sole Trader in Brisbane with a Lawnmowing Business and I want to be able to create invoices & email them to customers as soon as I complete a job.
The market share for a Mobile Invoicing App must be huge in Australia.
There are tens of thousands of Trades People, HandyMan Service based Sole Traders just like my self that would jump at the chance to save $300 per year by switching from Xero to Reckon One if you had a reliable Invoicing App.
Note: For the cost savings, I don't expect a polished app (like Xero) with bells a whistles, but I do expect it to work (& be supported).
I'm now faced with the situation of do I suffer the inconvenience of having to wait until I get home to create & send invoices until Reckon release and Invoicing App or do I go back to Xero at double the subscription costs.
Yes, you have a web browser account access but it's not optimised for Mobile Phone screens, it's clunky, glitchy and currently not able to send invoices via email.
The point of this post is to alert Reckon Management of the huge market share potential that you could take off Xero if you built a robust invoicing app and did a marketing campaign targeting Trades People & Home Service based business explaining the huge cost savings available.
