Allow users to change financial year start date
As a Reckon One user, I want to be able to change a financial year start date after setting my book up. At the time of setting up my book I may not realise how important it is to get this date right, so allowing it to be edited will be a great benefit.
As a Reckon One partner, I may realise some of my Reckon One clients has set their financial year start date wrong. I would like to be able to change this.

Future consideration
Really need an alternative solution for this idea if it is not going to be implemented. Option to start a new book with the correct financial year start date and then ability to merge the books together would be ideal.
Hi guys. The update is we can't fix this without breaking a whole heap of stuff. We are going to have another look at it in the first half of 2020 and essentially fix the stuff we break (without effecting existing users) > there's a fair bit involved to get this right so please bear with us.

This is especially necessary to non profit organisations who can and do change their financial year. Please move this enquiry from consideration to action!!! This is so need where mistakes are made with start date of book and so much work has been done before realising the mistake.
Yes I too would like this function as my client incorrectly set up their year end date and have entered a whole years' worth of transactions which will have to be done again!
Thanks Mouhamad - great feedback and definitely makes the team feel good when we get great feedback :) We will definitely take another look at this in the second half of the year and try and solve the issue.
We changed our financial year legally but not able to do it in Reckon One. Reckon One is a great product, for me I think this is the single negative experience I have had. If this can be changed, it's all positive
Apologies as this was incorrectly updated yesterday. We have investigated this idea and it is technically difficult for us to achieve. We have however been able to allow the adjustment of the book start date.
That said, we will leave this idea open and devote some additional time to it later this year once our compliance releases are out the door (which this year include pay events for NZ, single touch payroll for AU [under 20 employees], and making tax digital VAT updates for the UK).

Me too. I've been trialing Reckon One for the last few weeks. This was an immediate frustration.
We changed our official financial year start date last year. Good thing we did that before hearing about Reckon.
