Display & printing of Negative Amounts

I am finding that, when displaying or printing Balance Sheets etc, that negative amounts are shown in red, which makes them hard to read on the printed document.

Is it possible to show these amounts in brackets with a minus sign in front like other accounting programs, or the option to show them as such?
