We're using Reckon for a sporting club and accordingly our MEMBERS = CUSTOMERS. It would be EXTREMELY useful to have a field to distinguish M/F; a filed to record date of birth: and also a separate field to record what MEMBERSHIP category each member belongs to - this last field would be used to determine what rate a member is invoiced at.
These fields need to be separate to the Notes field as we are recording additional information here - and obviously want to be able to report on comparison M v F; age group spread; and membership categories. Surely this isn't too difficult. You can define such fields in MYOB (and have been able to do this for a very very very long time). I cant believe there aren't other organsations out there that wouldn't also appreciate definable fields. Really really hope you can help. Judy
Hi Judy and thanks for the idea. I would say at this stage we are unlikely to add this functionality to existing modules in Reckon One. Rather than bloating accounting functionality with CRM type functionality, our development ethos would dictate that we add a CRM module. Customer feedback including votes on this idea will dictate what we do. We are also a lot less expensive than MYOB, so to maintain our value proposition we want to add functionality that will add value, but not increase the price of the core product, especially for something that would likely only suit a certain % of total users.
In the meantime there are a few inexpensive options via Zapier (see HERE) where you can automate integrations between a number of tools / apps including CRMs (ZoHo CRM is free for limited users as an example). Zapier allows you to create a customer in Reckon One from the details saved in ZoHo. For example, when a customer account is saved in ZoHo CRM, customer information is automatically sent to Reckon One, so no double handling. You then have all of the information you need in Reckon One for invoicing, as well as a dedicated CRM for membership details, mailing, lead capture, and so on. Kind regards, Jason.
