Enable payment of Reckon Fees to be done via bank account rather than credit card

Not all entities using Reckon have a credit card.

It would be better if payment could be set up via payment from a bank account.

    16-March-2021 Update:

We are about to start testing direct debit options internally within the next few weeks. After this we will be calling on customers to enter a beta / test phase if they wish to commence using bank direct debit as a payment method. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

    1-Feb-2021 Update:

Work to move our billing platform to a system that accepts various payment methods for Reckon One is ongoing. As this is now a "whole of Reckon / Reckon APS project" we apologise for the delays caused by the broadening of the scope.

Is this still happening? I have had an issue using my personal Debit card for the Payment due on 8 June as my Rotary Club that I am the treasurer for does not have a credit card (The Rotary Club of Albany City in Western Australia). I got no sense out of using 1300 756 663 as I could not fully understand the person due to their accent. However in the meantime I will make sure my Debit Card now has sufficient funds to cover the 8 June payment when Reckon try again. Please help me sort this out.

    Kind Regards

    James (Jim) Bolger

Anything other than a credit/debit card - paypal, or something that is more secure would be great. Paypal is also a good option as it has no expiry date

Hi Anita and Joseph. We have been testing various solutions on the market with our own back end systems to come up with a viable solution. As we have many different products on many different platforms we haven't been able to solve this for every product (unfortunately), so we have now scaled back to supporting "Reckon One" > this will allow us to use our current provider, at least in the short term. Not ideal, but solves the issue for our Reckon One customers which is a good outcome.

The engineering team have scoped the design and looking to schedule this quarter all things going well.

Hi Jason, we really need an update on direct debit transfers so as to make it easier for customers that don't have credit cards or don't want to use them.

Is there an update on this yet please? I use Reckon One for our sports club and if there is a change of committee we will need to change users, direct debit is a better option for our club. Thanks.

Hi Reuben (and others), an update has been posted in the admin section of this idea. The timeframe is currently unknown but hopeful for this year however there are a lot of variables given the enormity of the project across the entire Reckon, APS and Elite product suites.

However, if you are unable to use a credit card, or Mastercard/Visa debit card linked to a bank account, for example, you are a not-for-profit, you can talk to our customer service team who can possibly make alternate arrangements in the interim. This is approved on a case by case basis. To apply, please email customerservice@reckon.com Attn: Angela Morris.

    Kind regards,

    Jason

Hi John. Our project scope definitely includes different subscription options as well as payment options. Clubs and NFPs in general were a big driver for us to change to a broader model. This is a massive project and likley to take 12 months however we are underway with systems reviews and planning.

We are a Rotary Club without a credit card. Bank transfer would be so much easier. Much better annually, not monthly.

Add PayPal as an option for subscription payment methods

At the moment, payment for a subscription is only via card (credit or debit card)But there are still some customers who don't like to use cards and prefer just providing their BSB and Account Number for payment deductions.
