An option to set employees list sorting by Reference permanently instead of just Employee name

It will be good to have an option to set employees list sorting by Reference permanently instead of just Employee name. At the moment, I click on the Reference to sort them. However, when every time I go into an employee and come out, the list is sorted according to Employee name again. This is quite troublesome and it will be useful if I can set the sorting by Reference permanently when you have lots of employees with the preferred name or ID
