Calculate Superannuation on Annual Leave Loading at users discretion

There are no settings in the Superannuation or Annual leave item setups to include annual leave loading in the superannuation guarantee calculation.

It [admin edit: can be] a requirement that super be calculated on annual leave and leave loading as it falls under the classification of Ordinary time earnings.

Thanks for the heads up. We will reduce the wording in the help tip and let the business decide the circumstances by which they use this option.

    Thanks for the update.

I went to the Annual Leave item and looked at the line item ‘Include leave loading amounts in super calculations’.

I noticed that the information box that appears when you hover over the ‘?’ next to that option is not worded correctly.

It currently reads … “When this checkbox is ticked …... This is generally required when the leave loading is in lieu of overtime.”

I think that advice is wrong – an employer should have the checkbox ticked when the leave loading is NOT in lieu of overtime (i.e. Super IS payable on the loading when the employee usually does NOT have access to overtime. If the employee usually has access to overtime, then as no SG is payable on overtime, SG is also not payable on their leave loading).

Would you pass it on to the team to correct the Help box wording, thanks.

    Hi Reckon Team,

How much closer are we to a resolution for this?

It makes more sense that work around in KB 5740 should be for the minority - not the majority

    We understand about the legislation.

We need to be able to set and forget a setting that makes leave loading superable.

Not have to muck around with manual calculations in Payruns.

This a very bad design fault and leave users wide open to making mistakes.

Come On Reckon. This should be a priority.
