Change Account Type

Could you please allow the Account Type to be amended in Reckon One.  You have no idea how many users set up an account incorrectly and then have to figure out a way to correct this after numerous transactions have already been entered.

We are adding GL merge next year

Hi Penny... obviously the above didn't happen and I didn't update the idea accordingly. Apologies. Rather than make tweaks to the current interface, we have built a new one, and it will be released around June this year as part of our next-gen interfaces, starting with Payroll. Once we get that and STP2 out of the way we are going to circle back to feature improvements as it would have been wasted effort in the current product.

Any update on this yet Jason? I need to merge accounts and change account type relating to transactions from 2018 onwards. Lots of transactions. Too Numerous and onerous to do individually .

We are adding GL merge next year so will look at TYPE CHANGE as well as long as it doesn't break anything in the database (not all databases are created the same so what works for one accounting product may not work for another).

From my side, if I was able to simply change the accounts over from ‘income’ type to ‘expense’ type it would have been an easy fix.

Account Type and Account Name as a drop down menu to select or add a new account like in QBO.
