Announcement: September 2023

We are currently well underway building our next-gen user interfaces, starting with Payroll web and mobile (released), Invoices mobile (released) and soon, advanced Payroll, Reckon Mate enhancements, and Time web.

Where appropriate we'll add features from the Product Ideas Portal to both old and new interfaces, or, where new is replacing old, we'll add to the new range only.

Thank you for your patience - whilst we understand building new interfaces and products takes longer than adding a feature, we are certain the new designs will ultimately provide a better experience for all our customers.

Regards,
The Reckon Product Team

Unfortunately, after many hours investigating this feature, we keep hitting issues at various points. Once we have one obstacle solved, another one presents itself. It is therefore with regret that we'll need to close this idea and mark as 'will not implement'.

A special shout out to our dev team who spent a lot of personal, unpaid time on this whilst trying to solve.

I have achieved this by opening two different browsers (Chrome and Edge) and using two separate user logons on the same PC. The two browser sessions are not aware of each other so can operate independently. This is not an ideal solution because it involves needing access to a second logon.

A word of caution is that one needs to be very aware of which company you are working in ....

Even providing read only access to the second company file would be useful to me to lookup data or just how you did an infrequent transaction in another company file.

You could try split screen display mode on your computer? Simply open the first data file, right click anywhere on the task bar and select display windows side by side, open the other file and drag it by the tab to the other half of the screen.

You should now see the two files side by side.

    Cheers

It would be great when using the desktop version that you could open more than one datafile at any one time. It would make it far easier for intercompany transfers without having to open and close each datafile every time you need to put in a tran...
