Hi Jo. If you are using desktop you can download the 2021 R2 patch for AU and you will get the links feature. If you are using the Hosted version, unfortunately we missed the NZ release date (as it's 3 months before AU) so the feature will be available in the March 2022 release.
Hi there, I don't see this feature in Accounts Hosted as yet - when I click on Company Information there is no box for links. Can you please advise? Many thanks
Wow it has been implementated nice the other question i have relating to this are you only able to have the attachments in the upload folder or is there a way to shift them to a deicated folder on Reckon but that is great to see so far next would be great to be able to see who you have sent inv and quotes to via email so you can check when customers say that i didnt send it to them.
My view is don't try to make this feature available to desktop Our competitors don't
On the point of attaching documentation, again MYOB has done this and I suspect their Account Right live runs in a terminal server farm. Like Reckon Hosted.
In the Reckon environment there is dedicated back up folder only available to the user
It seems to me that there could be a dedicated folder for attachments for the shared folder with read / write access
I also expect that the folder could be made not visible to stop users directly accessing it
When the user adds a pdf, jpg etc to a transaction the program would apply the internal reference of the transaction as the name of the file in the folder
If you open the transaction later the program has the way to find the relative attachment(s)
Hi Cathy, with respect we have this function in our cloud app, Reckon One. Reckon One, like Xero and others, is able to provide a simple way to attach a document to a transaction as the browser as a unique ID. We hear your frustration, however most of our customers are aware that Reckon Hosted is the desktop application hosted in its own browser, which was technically very hard to achieve. Adding attachments is therefore not a simple task, so whilst I appreciate your passion for a solution, it is not a fair assessment of how difficult this is to achieve, and using terms such as pathetic is not fair to the team who have been working on this problem. Please remain considerate of others when posting on this forum. Thank you, Jason.
Hi Bronwyn, yes we have had many discussions with Sourcelink over several years however they have declined to integrate with Hosted, even though we have many more Hosted users than desktop these days. Not the outcome we were hoping for unfortunately. The good news, as of our post yesterday we are looking how to achieve this for desktop and hosted users > hosted is actually a lot harder as the web browser does not store the unique transaction ID as does all cloud accounting apps like Reckon One, so we have to look at a unique approach to solve the issue. No doubt Sourcelink came across these very same issues.
Please do look into this as Hosted does not connect with Sourcelink (the option we used with desktop version) and now Autoentry are stopping their integration with Reckon Hosted in September 2020.
Ability to import supplier / vendor invoices for autofill
Merged
Would reduce heaps of manual data entry work.. minor editing is okay after invoices are imported. invoices can be imported and then reconciled for accuracy
Okay, thanks for that. I'm using hosted so will have to wait. Cheers

We'll know more as the design progresses Neil. Hopefully it will be a suitable outcomes for all of the varied use cases.

Hi Neil. What we have planned will overcome these issues, plus also serve desktop and hosted users with the same implementation.
Great that this is in the planning stage, definitely a handy feature.

Thanks Jason. Looking forward to the update when it happens.

The delay is pathetic.
That would be great - MYOB's new InTray and ability to drag and drop invoices into their system is going to hurt us!
