Great idea. As trustee of SMSF (since 1997) I use Reckon Accounts desktop to administer the fund. Share accounting is the weak link as I have to spend a lot of time analysing share purchases, sales & dividend using a spreadsheet and then manually entering journals into Reckon; or I use a third party solution like POSH or StockMaster to manage share portfolio and then do journals in Reckon.
As many business owners also have SMSF, I think a new SMSF Trustee edition would be a great asset which is the existing software including a share trading module similar to Quicken . The current report writer makes using Reckon Premier or Enterprise very useful for managing SMSF and statutory reporting. Accounting for shares & dividends is the weakest link.

this would be a great inclusion I currently use the inventory for the shares it works but I think this would be more efficient if it works
