Faster 'search' process for finding Customers in Reckon Accounts Customer Centre
When wanting to quickly look up a customer in the customer centre the search process is way too slow!! This is even if you type in the complete first name of the business. One has to scroll down to find the customer. I'm sure any regular user of Reckon Accounts would greatly appreciate this to be improved.
Hi. The first question is, are you using Reckon Accounts desktop or hosted? If desktop (and indeed hosted), it depends on the shape of your database ie when was the last rebuild done, are all of your lists resorted, how many file fragments does the database have, and ultimately how many customers and do you have, and what is the size of the database. Finally, if desktop, what are the available resources on your server / PC?
Here is an example (see attached mp4) of a search using the search function, and also simply typing the first 3 letters "ray". As you can see it's quite fast. I have tested this on 3 company files, and all are quite quick > the largest file being 15 years old and have over 60,000 transactions and 1,000 customers.
If you can let me know if you are using desktop or hosted that would be great.
