  You can achieve this by adding a custom field to the customer / job record, or many users create a JOB for the VEHICLE under the customer, and therefore track all invoices for that rego under that job.
  
  Below is an example search on a custom field (a vessel rego for a boat at a marina in this case) showing all invoices that include the custom field.
