Would be a huge time saving feature when replenishing stock.
At present we look at the Inventory Status by supplier which shows each item its description, stock holding and a suggested ROP. What it does not show is a column with the number of items used (sold or adjusted out) in a period of time. Ie this financial or last financial to date.
This is needed when working in seasonal environments like agriculture where a fixed ROP does not work as demand increases or decreases seasonally.
We now look at a line that shows the item, description and the stock on hand. To check if the stock on hand is sufficient we must individually open each item and count the number of pieces moved in a period of time compare this to our stock and make the judgement to order more or not.
A very slow process when over 5000 parts are involved!
