Transfer info from a sales order description box to a purchase order description box
We use the sales order as a service job sales order. From this we then generate a purchase order for our contractor and we call this a service job request. We need the text we put in the sales order to be transferred over to the purchase order without having to copy and paste.
I do this with an "Other Charge" item that has no description and no cost or selling price. Create a sales order, enter the work you want carried out for that specific job and then create a PO from the SO - the description is carried across. When asked if you want to keep the description or cost for future just click No.
This would be very helpful for me also!
