I have added a text box above the columns called "Att" but I constantly have to type in who it is for the attention of for a particular person who ordered the job. This needs to be editable to add or delete persons as required. For our main customer this could include around 20 persons who provide us PO's. This name fills automatically on quoted jobs, but for "invoiced as" jobs there is no such provision. It's a bit difficult to explain without seeing or knowing my invoice template.
The Ship To address on a customer / job is used for this purpose. Simply add new Ship To addresses with the relevant Attn: name in the address box.
You can also add the customer / job Contact Name to an invoice template. This is suitable for JOBS however is less suitable for customers as the field would need to be amended each time in the customers record.
Because your use case is: I constantly have to type in who it is for the attention of for a particular person who ordered the job the second option might be better. That is, add the contact to the JOB for that customer, then add the contact field to the quote / invoice.
To add the customer / job contact to a template, open the template layout designer, click Add > Data Field, then select Customer Contact and click OK.
