Announcement: September 2023

We are currently well underway building our next-gen user interfaces, starting with Payroll web and mobile (released), Invoices mobile (released) and soon, advanced Payroll, Reckon Mate enhancements, and Time web.

Where appropriate we'll add features from the Product Ideas Portal to both old and new interfaces, or, where new is replacing old, we'll add to the new range only.

Thank you for your patience - whilst we understand building new interfaces and products takes longer than adding a feature, we are certain the new designs will ultimately provide a better experience for all our customers.

Regards,
The Reckon Product Team

The original multi-step design of Reckon STP was definitely on purpose as we have multiple payroll apps on desktop, hosted desktop, cloud and mobile. The design allowed us to build one tool to serve all products. If we did not take this approach we would not have been able to deliver STP on time.

Since launch we have released both STP and Payroll mobile apps, and both products have a direct push to STP. Importantly though, both products have MFA (multi-factor authentication) upon login. This is an ATO requirement.

For us to add STP direct from each product, we will need to add MFA across our product range which we are working on now, and will take around 6 months to complete as we align all products with a new authentication service. Those products that will be able to lodge directly will be Reckon Accounts Hosted and Reckon One. However, as this is not possible for desktop products, the current GovConnect process will remain.
