Announcement: September 2023

We are currently well underway building our next-gen user interfaces, starting with Payroll web and mobile (released), Invoices mobile (released) and soon, advanced Payroll, Reckon Mate enhancements, and Time web.

Where appropriate we'll add features from the Product Ideas Portal to both old and new interfaces, or, where new is replacing old, we'll add to the new range only.

Thank you for your patience - whilst we understand building new interfaces and products takes longer than adding a feature, we are certain the new designs will ultimately provide a better experience for all our customers.

Regards,
The Reckon Product Team

Improved layout to fit landscape screen & retention of previous account selection

I am forever having to scroll to see all information on data entry screens as there is sooo much empty space between fields. Yes I can zoom out but then writing is small. It would be great to condense spacing so that it fits on one 16 x 9 screen. This should still work for those who work in portrait mode. Good example of this is finalising payments related to payroll. Amount is always off bottom of screen.

Again using payroll payments as an example it would be great if when I have selected payable type once, that option was offered for next transaction. Applies to bank accounts too. It would be great to be able to select a default option so that the same main account does not have to be re-selected all the time. Auto payment option does not do the job right on payroll, prefer manual!

We will soon release our new payroll user interfaces to Reckon One users (around the middle of 2022) that will definitely improve the experience on all devices. We have also changed the flows to improve many payroll processes. These improvements will continue until the entire application has the new look and feel.

Here is an example of the new design:
