My client has created an item list and is using a barcode scanner at POS to generate compliant tax invoices with descriptions and prices of products sold.
The issue they have is that the barcode has to be in the Item Name box for the scanner to read it, which results in the item list view being meaningless to a human.
They would like to be able to see a description or the code box as a column on the item list view. This would make it much easier for when they are inputting purchases of inventory so they can easily see what the products are, not just what the barcode is.
Currently, to determine what each product is (as they are humans, not computers), they have to open up the items individually to read the description or SKU code.
The only other fix I could suggest is the make the Code box part of the compulsory boxes and set it for the barcode scanner to read instead of the item name box, so they can enter item names that are understandable to humans.
